We have learnt what Hieroglyphics were and what they were used for in Ancient Egypt.  The word “hieroglyphs” comes from a Greek word meaning ‘sacred carving’.  The ancient Egyptians believed that hieroglyphs had been invented by the gods.

We then learnt how to write our name using Hieroglyphics and then created a bookmark using papyrus paper.
